On Maternity Leave?
Wondering what to do with the long days with your baby?
Whether the experience of motherhood has been a bumpy ride or a walk in the park, as a Mum (or pregnant Mum) of a new baby, you are warmly invited to Talking Point.
Where and When?
Talking Point meets on Thursdays (term time only) 10 am -12 noon at Rebecca Bakers house (but just turn up anytime between these times – babies don’t always keep to our clocks!). We are very informal, want you to feel at home, and understand how tired and overwhelmed mums can feel.
Talking Point it is an opportunity to meet other mums with their new babies over coffee, cake and conversation in the sitting room and is hosted by Rebecca Baker (and a team of mums who have enjoyed Talking Point for themselves over the years) with support from the health visiting team from GP surgery.
If you have just had or are expecting a new addition to your family, please come along – you will be made very welcome!
For further information please speak to Rebecca Baker on 07725 474341.
What some Mums say about Talking Point
- “I have made some incredible friends for my baby and me”.
- “I don’t know what I would have done without the group and this support”.
- “I never realised what a great community I lived in until I went to Talking Point. As a career woman I hardly knew anyone in the community, therefore becoming a Mummy with no local family or friends’ network was a really daunting prospect. Talking Point helped me through the early weeks of a newborn (he’s not sleeping … am i giving him enough milk? etc). The group has opened so may doors for me. I have met some amazing people all because of Talking Point.
- “Thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet new mums. Without Talking Point motherhood would be one lonely world”.
